Seattle is one of our favorite places to go on a long weekend. Seattle’s natural beauty is a major draw for tourists and locals alike. If you’re planning a weekend trip to Seattle, Washington, get ready to experience a unique blend of natural beauty, cultural diversity, and urban excitement From the snow-capped mountains to the sparkling waterways, there is no shortage of stunning landscapes to explore in this vibrant and dynamic city.  

Seattle, Washington is a vibrant and picturesque city that is known for its stunning natural beauty, thriving arts scene, and unique cultural attractions, making it a popular tourist destination. The city’s most famous attraction is the Space Needle, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and its surrounding mountains. Visitors can also explore the Pike Place Market, which is one of the oldest and most famous farmers markets in the country, offering a range of fresh produce, artisanal products, and seafood.

Seattle is also known for its thriving arts scene, with many theaters, music venues, and galleries that offer a range of cultural experiences. Visitors can explore the Seattle Art Museum, which is home to a vast collection of contemporary and traditional art, or attend a performance at the Seattle Symphony. In the evening, head to Capitol Hill for dinner and drinks. Afterward, catch a show at the historic Paramount Theatre, which hosts a variety of concerts, plays, and other performances. With its vibrant arts scene, stunning natural beauty, and world-renowned cuisine, Seattle is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway.

Recommended stay: 3 nights
Hotel: Inn at the Market (~350 /night?) Inn at the Market is my preference to stay at in Seattle. I really prefer this location as it allows you to walk to a majority of the city center attractions and is an easy walk to Pike Place Market. Airbnb/Vrbo/Etc are always options too.
Recommended mode of transportation: Car-Share

 

Friday Night

Arrive and drop off stuff at the hotel

Late Dinner: Le Pichet (https://www.yelp.com/biz/le-pichet-seattle) A Bourdain favorite, this whole in the wall near Pikes Place Market is the quintessential French wine bar. It has become the first place we eat at every time we go to Seattle. If you get in super late, Ba Bar (https://www.yelp.com/biz/ba-bar-seattle) offers great Southeast Asian food until midnight.

Saturday

Breakfast: Start your adventure by visiting Pike Place Market. Get there early and hit Piroshky & Piroshky (https://www.yelp.com/biz/piroshky-piroshky-seattle?osq=perosky). I love the salmon one. Then continue to the original Starbucks location a few footsteps away. Extremely popular with locals and tourists alike, expect a wait From there, take a stroll along the waterfront and enjoy the views of Elliott Bay.

Do: Space Needle & Chihuly Garden and Glass

If you prefer alcohol, head to Fremont Brewing’s Urban Beer Garden (https://www.yelp.com/biz/fremont-brewing-seattle-3)

Activity: A Viator tour to Mt. Rainier or take a ferry to nearby Bainbridge Island for a scenic day trip.
