Copenhagen

Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and a city that is rich in history, culture, and design, making it a popular tourist destination. The city is known for its stunning architecture, including the iconic works of Danish architect Jørn Utzon, such as the Sydney Opera House and the Bagsværd Church. Visitors can also explore the historic center of the city, which is home to landmarks such as the Amalienborg Palace and the Rosenborg Castle. Copenhagen is also famous for its museums, such as the National Museum of Denmark and the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, which house some of the most important works of art in Denmark.

Copenhagen is also known for its culinary scene, which offers a wide range of traditional and modern cuisine. Visitors can explore the city’s many food markets, such as the Torvehallerne, which is one of the largest and most famous markets in Scandinavia. Copenhagen is also famous for its smørrebrød, which are traditional Danish open-faced sandwiches, as well as its pastries and sweets. For those who want a more upscale dining experience, the city is also home to some of the best Michelin-starred restaurants in Scandinavia.

Beyond its historic sites and delicious food, Copenhagen is also known for its design scene, with many of the city’s buildings and public spaces designed by renowned Danish architects and designers. Visitors can explore the Designmuseum Danmark or take a tour of the city’s modern architecture. The city is also home to many independent shops and boutiques, offering a range of Scandinavian design and fashion. With its mix of history, culture, design, and great food, Copenhagen is a city that offers something for everyone.

Food is really expensive here, but is arguably the best in the world. Barcelona may disagree, but Copenhagen is the best.
